01 · The Vision

The future of space begins in the Amazon.

Ancestral knowledge, biodiversity and frontier technology, led by Indigenous Peoples.

4RESTSKY connects ancestral knowledge, Amazonian biodiversity, space technology, artificial intelligence and blockchain to build a new model of scientific collaboration, conservation and Indigenous technological sovereignty.

Developed by 4rest4all, it envisions Indigenous Peoples not as contributors to scientific discovery, but as decision-makers, knowledge holders and innovators shaping humanity’s future.

  • For generations, Indigenous Peoples have read the stars, the seasons and the living systems of the forest.
  • Today’s technologies can strengthen how that knowledge is protected, transmitted and applied.
  • 4RESTSKY is the bridge between the Amazon and the global space ecosystem, grounded in self-determination.

The future of humanity should not be built without the peoples who have protected Earth’s living systems for generations.

02 · Our Mission

Protect the forest. Shape the future.

An Indigenous-led ecosystem integrating space technology, biodiversity science, decentralized infrastructure and ethical innovation, so that communities keep authority over their territories, their data and their cultural heritage.

Protecting life on Earth and advancing technology are not competing goals. They are the same goal.

03 · The Indigenous Space Ecosystem

Five frontiers. One sovereignty.

Five interconnected areas of innovation, held together by Indigenous governance.

I
IIndigenous Space Knowledge

A sky that was never unknown.

Connecting ancestral astronomy with contemporary space science.

Indigenous peoples have linked the stars to seasons, navigation, ceremony and ecological life for generations. 4RESTSKY opens dialogue between knowledge holders, astronomers, researchers and educators.

  • Community-led documentation of authorized astronomical knowledge.
  • Astronomy and space sciences for Indigenous youth.
  • Digital planetariums and immersive educational experiences.
  • Exchange between knowledge holders and space scientists.

Each people decides what may be shared, interpreted, documented or withheld.

Indigenous cosmologies are diverse knowledge systems, not one universal tradition.

II
IIAmazon Biodiversity & Space Science

The forest is the laboratory.

Protecting Earth’s biodiversity while exploring technologies for the future of life.

The forest is the laboratory.

The Amazon is a living laboratory of adaptation and diversity. Community-led Living Amazon Labs connect conservation with frontier research instead of extracting data from territories.

  • Community-led biodiversity inventories.
  • Sustainable cultivation and controlled-environment agriculture.
  • Remote sensing and AI-supported ecosystem monitoring.
  • Closed-loop life-support and space agriculture dialogue.

Genetic resources and traditional knowledge follow applicable law, Indigenous protocol and benefit-sharing rules.

Exploratory dialogue with organizations such as Interstellar Lab and LifeShip, without implying a partnership.

III
IIIIndigenous Data Sovereignty

Those who generate knowledge govern it.

The communities that create knowledge keep the power over it.

Environmental data, biodiversity records, cultural materials and community-generated assets are governed by the communities themselves: how they are collected, stored, accessed, licensed and shared.

Community ownership

Rights stay with communities, governed by their own institutions.

Free, Prior and Informed Consent (FPIC / CLPI)

No collection, publication or transfer without authorization.

Decentralized infrastructure

Secure, interoperable systems that reduce dependency.

Permission-based access

Public, restricted, confidential or excluded entirely.

Revocable permissions

Access can be suspended or withdrawn.

Transparent benefit-sharing

Communities define the conditions for collective benefit.

Technology supports Indigenous governance. It does not replace it.

IV
IVBlockchain & Tokenization

Verification, not speculation.

A digital economy built on consent, traceability and collective decisions.

4RESTSKY applies blockchain and tokenization to governance, authorized licensing, environmental information and Indigenous participation in digital economies, never to identity, sacred traditions, territories or unrestricted biological resources.

IV4RESTVAULT

Sovereignty, written in code.

The proposed governance and verification layer of 4RESTSKY: secure off-chain repositories, community-governed permissions, digital identity and cryptographic verification.

1Consent Verification

Verifiable records of authorization and licensing; sensitive documents stay off-chain.

2Tokenized Access Rights

Restricted credentials for designated data. A token never overrides the right to deny access.

3IP Licenses

Where collectively authorized, tokens represent defined contractual licenses only.

4Research Credentials

Verified project, institution and consent conditions; no ownership of genetic resources.

5Benefit Distribution

Smart contracts automate payments under community-approved benefit-sharing.

6Environmental Data

Cryptographic records of provenance for approved observations and monitoring.

7Community Collectibles

Digital certificates for culture, art and storytelling, only where communities choose.

No tokenization without authorization. No commercialization without collective decision-making.No data access without governance.

No speculative currency. No market for sacred knowledge. Tokenization serves agreements, it does not replace consent.

V
VSpace Connectivity & Forest Intelligence

The signal stays with the community.

Connecting remote territories to the technologies shaping the future.

The signal stays with the community.

Through 4RESTLINK, satellite connectivity and digital access reach remote Indigenous communities. Through 4RESTMAP, community-led territorial monitoring connects with satellite imagery and environmental intelligence.

  • Secure communication between communities and research partners.
  • Community-controlled environmental observation.
  • Deforestation and territorial pressure monitoring.
  • Training in geospatial technology and artificial intelligence.

Technology must be accessible locally, not only through external institutions or corporate platforms.

04 · The Living Amazon Lab

A laboratory without walls.

A research structure among the treetops under a star-filled sky

Developed with communities that choose to participate, the Living Amazon Lab builds distributed scientific capability inside community institutions, instead of extracting data from territories.

Satellite connectivity and renewable energyEnvironmental sensors and digital monitoringCommunity-controlled biodiversity databasesEducational astronomy toolsSecure archives and blockchain authorization recordsAI adapted to locally defined needs

Each community defines its own priorities, permissions and outcomes.

05 · The Ancestral Universe

One sky, many ways of reading it.

Humanity has never had only one way of understanding the sky. The astronomical knowledge of Amazonian peoples opens meaningful exchange with contemporary science.

Indigenous-led exhibitions, multilingual digital planetariums, storytelling, educational films and authorized archives create space for distinct knowledge systems to coexist.

Cultural materials are safeguarded only where communities approve the content, destination, duration and conditions.

A glowing canopy of light rising from the forest toward the cosmos

The stars are not only destinations for exploration. They are also part of humanity’s cultural memory.

06 · Decision-Making & Indigenous Governance

Nothing about us, without us.

Governance begins with Indigenous leadership. Communities hold meaningful decision-making power over projects affecting their territories, their heritage and their information.

01

Indigenous Leadership Council

Representatives chosen by their own communities set priorities and safeguards.

02

Community Authorization

Every initiative requires local authorization and the CLPI process.

03

Advisory Network

Scientists and technologists advise without displacing Indigenous authority.

04

Data Governance Protocols

Communities define classifications, permissions and restrictions.

05

Ethics & Benefit-Sharing

Written rules on intellectual property, ethics, transparency and benefits.

06

Review & Grievance

Clear procedures to challenge decisions and suspend unauthorized activity.

Decentralization must reach institutional decision-making, not only technology.

07 · Strategic Collaboration

Build with us, not for us.

We seek dialogue with organizations working across space technology, biodiversity, digital infrastructure and future-oriented innovation.

Space Technology

Satellite systems, Earth observation, extraterrestrial technologies.

Biodiversity & Life Sciences

Ethical ecological research, sustainable cultivation, conservation.

Decentralized Technologies & AI

Verifiable credentials, community-governed data, locally governed AI.

Culture & Diplomacy

Authorized archives, educational media and international partnerships.

Dialogue with LifeShip, Interstellar Lab and others would be exploratory, by mutual agreement.

09 · Our Principles

Seven rules we never trade away.

01

Indigenous Leadership First

Communities decide, they do not receive technology passively.

02

Consent Before Access

Free, Prior and Informed Consent on every activity.

03

Sovereignty by Design

Data, storage and permissions reinforce community autonomy.

04

Knowledge Is Not a Commodity

Sacred or protected knowledge is never automatically commercial.

05

Transparent Innovation

Blockchain, AI and space technology serve defined community interests.

06

Collaboration Without Extraction

Research respects Indigenous rights, protocol and benefit-sharing.

07

The Future Is Collective

Progress must strengthen the communities that sustain life.

10 · The Future We Envision

The future we envision.

A different approach to the future of science and technology.

Indigenous Peoples shape the technologies that affect their lives.

The Amazon becomes a centre for ethical innovation, without surrendering control of its biodiversity or heritage.

Technologies built for journeys beyond Earth also protect the living systems on Earth.
